Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

Welcome to The Daily Buck. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. Please also review our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.

Plain-English Q&A: what this actually means

Legal language is dense on purpose, and ours is no exception. Here's the confusing stuff explained like you're chatting with a friend. This is a friendly summary to help you understand — the full Terms below are what legally apply.

What does "binding arbitration" mean?

If we ever have a disagreement we can't work out, instead of going to court in front of a judge and jury, a neutral private referee called an arbitrator hears both sides and makes a decision. It's usually faster and more private than court. If you'd rather keep your right to go to court, you can opt out in writing within 30 days of agreeing to these Terms.

What's a "class-action waiver"?

A class action is when lots of people team up into one big lawsuit. This says you agree to raise any claim just for yourself, not as part of that kind of group. You keep your own right to make a claim — you just do it individually, not as a crowd.

Why does it say the site is provided "as is" with "no warranties"?

It means we offer the site and its information without promising it's perfect, always online, or error-free. We work hard to keep it accurate, but you should use your own judgment and double-check anything important before acting on it.

What is "limitation of liability"?

If something goes wrong because you used the site, this limits how much we can be held responsible for — especially indirect or unexpected losses — as far as the law allows. The short version: we share free education, and you're in charge of your own money decisions.

What does "indemnify" mean?

Big word, simple idea: if you misuse the site or break these rules, and that causes someone to come after us legally, you agree to cover the costs that result from your actions. If you use the site normally, this never comes into play.

Why does it mention "the laws of Nevada"?

If there's ever a legal question about these Terms, this says we'll use one state's rulebook — here, Nevada — to sort it out, so it stays consistent. (This is a placeholder we're having a lawyer confirm for our actual business.)

What does "this is not financial advice" mean?

Everything here is general education meant for a wide audience, not a personal recommendation for your exact situation. For advice built around your life, talk with a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or attorney.

Can these Terms change later?

Yes. We may update them, and we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top when we do. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you're okay with the new version.

Still have a question about anything here? Email contact@thedailybuck.com and we'll explain it in plain English.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using The Daily Buck, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Who may use the site

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this site or to subscribe to our email or SMS programs. By using the site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Not financial, legal, or tax advice

The Daily Buck provides general educational information only. We are not a licensed financial advisor, broker, accountant, attorney, or tax professional, and nothing on this site is personalized financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Your situation is unique; consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions. You are solely responsible for your own choices.

4. Educational purpose only

Content is provided for informational and educational purposes. Any examples, figures, or outcomes are illustrative and not a promise or guarantee of results. Rates, offers, and product terms change frequently and may be out of date by the time you read them.

5. Affiliate relationships

We may earn commissions from links on this site and from offers shared by email and text, as described in our Affiliate Disclosure. This never changes the price you pay and never dictates our honest opinion.

6. Email & SMS programs

If you subscribe to our newsletter or opt in to text messages, you agree to receive communications from us as described at sign-up and in our Privacy Policy. For SMS, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, graphics, logos, and the "The Daily Buck" name — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, republish, or redistribute it without our written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. This includes not attempting to hack, overload, scrape at scale, or disrupt the site; not using it for any unlawful purpose; and not impersonating others or infringing anyone's rights.

9. User submissions

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or other materials, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use them to operate and improve our services. Please don't send us confidential information you don't want us to use.

10. Third-party sites & products

The site links to third-party websites and products, including through affiliate links. We don't control and aren't responsible for their content, products, services, or practices. Any dealings you have with a third party are solely between you and that party.

11. No warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Daily Buck and its owners, team, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the site or any content, products, or services referenced on it. Where liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Daily Buck and its owners and team from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site or violation of these Terms.

14. Accuracy & changes to content

We work hard to keep our content accurate and current, but we can't guarantee it is complete, accurate, or up to date at all times. We may add, change, or remove content at any time without notice.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the site will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and The Daily Buck waive the right to a jury trial and agree that claims may be brought only on an individual basis, not as part of a class action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by notifying us in writing within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

Note for your lawyer: this arbitration clause and class-action waiver, and the Nevada governing-law choice, are placeholders. Have a licensed attorney review and tailor Section 16 (and confirm the governing-law state) to your actual business entity and where it operates before you publish.

17. Severability & waiver

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

18. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the site at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. The sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
