We believe in being upfront about how The Daily Buck makes money. This disclosure explains our advertising and affiliate relationships in plain language, in keeping with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255).
The Daily Buck is free to read. We support our work through affiliate commissions, sponsorships, and the offers we share by email and text message. When you click certain links and take an action — like signing up for a product or service — we may earn a commission or referral fee, at no extra cost to you.
Some links on this site are "affiliate links." If you click one and make a purchase or complete a sign-up, the company may pay us a commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the company. You are never charged more for using our links.
We recommend products and services based on their merits — fees, terms, usefulness, and whether we'd genuinely use them ourselves. A company cannot pay us for a positive review, and a bigger commission does not earn a better ranking. If we wouldn't recommend something to a friend, we won't recommend it to you.
From time to time we may publish sponsored content or feature paid placements. When content is sponsored, we clearly label it as such. Sponsorship never gives an advertiser control over our honest opinion.
If you subscribe to our email list or opt in to text messages, we may send you product recommendations and offers that include affiliate links or sponsored promotions. We only send these to people who have asked to hear from us, and you can unsubscribe or opt out at any time.
Our content is our own. Advertisers and affiliate partners do not get to write, approve, or edit our articles. We maintain a clear separation between the money side of the business and what we publish.
The products and services we mention may or may not be right for your situation. We share general education, not personalized financial advice. Always do your own research and, when appropriate, consult a qualified professional before making a financial decision.
The Daily Buck participates in various affiliate and advertising programs. As those relationships are established, the companies and networks we work with may include banks, lenders, card issuers, financial-technology apps, insurance providers, and comparison platforms, among others. Individual articles may name specific partners where relevant.
If anything here is unclear, or you'd like to know whether a particular link is an affiliate link, just ask.
